A Premier Tournament
The Big Nickel Major AAA Hockey Tournament is widely regarded as one of the premier tournaments of its kind in North America. The tournament began in 1980 as an atom/peewee event and then expanded to include the bantam and midget age groups in the late 80's.
3000 Volunteer Hours
100% volunteer-operated, the tournament's primary objective is to raise funds in support of minor hockey and other charitable initiatives in the Greater Sudbury area.
